We offer a wide range of classes to suit all ages and abilities.

Aerial Yoga

Using the support of a soft suspended hammock Aerial Yoga allows you to build strength, flexibility, balance and confidence in a fun way. Taking you through grounding poses and also elevating you to new heights. You are also able to invert the body allowing the spine to decompress. The hammock also opens to create a wonderful relaxing cocoon. No experience necessary.

WHAT TO WEAR
Soft comfortable clothing WITHOUT ZIPS or dangling cords.
T-shirt rather than vest.
ALL WATCHES AND JEWELLERY (except small stud earings and flat rings) SHOULD BE REMOVED.
Bare feet or yoga socks.

Kids Aerial Classes

A great way to introduce children to Yoga. We use the hammocks as above and let the children explore a range of yoga moves and some fun inversions. Inverting the head is incredibly good for the nervous system. It helps the lethargic aloof child to regulate to a more alert state and the over energetic to calm down. Other benefits include brain development. Sensory integration and self regulation of the nervous system.

Beginners

If you are at the start of your yoga journey then this class is for you. A gentle introduction to poses to build strength, flexibility and confidence.

Flow

A sequence of postures normally starting with sun salutations which develop through the class, with a strong focus on alignment and breath. This practice can be challenging as it may include arm balances and inversions.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a passive, yielding type of yoga. It's postures are held for a long time, typically five minutes or more which allows a deeper type of stretch. By holding the postures for a longer time you can work more into the connective tissues, ligaments, joints, bones, fascia etc.
Yin is a simple practice but not easy. It can also help with the flow of energy (chi) through the body and also with the nervous system.

Ashtanga

Ashtanga Yoga developed by K Pattabhi Jois is a dynamic, physically demanding practice which synchronizes breath with a progressive series of movements to produce an internal heat designed to purify the body. Ashtanga is great for building core strength and helps to tone the body. Prepare to sweat as you briskly move through a set sequence, detoxifying muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a strong body and a calm mind.

Open

Suitable for all levels this Hatha class will vary each week and from teacher to teacher. Focussing on classic postures and breathing to help strengthen the body and calm the mind.

Strength, Core and More

A strong class aimed at people who want to build strength throughout the body. A strong core is an essential requirement, not only for most sports, but also for good posture and it can help alleviate lower back problems. Strength work should go hand in hand with flexibility, there is no point in having a strong body if you can't move it. So the class will also work on those tight areas giving you a balanced body. You will probably sweat and elevate your heart rate which can help in shedding those extra pounds. So if you are wanting to improve strength, stamina, endurance and concentration then why not give this class a try.

Kundalini

If you are looking for a type of yoga which focuses on postures and breathing but also meditation + mantra then kundalini yoga is for you.
Each week will involve a different kriya (yoga set) and meditations. This is perfect for you if you are looking for a spiritual angle to your yoga class. It will aid with flexibility, stamina and focusing your monkey mind.
