Pauline Gibbons RYS500+

Founder

I first studied Vinyasa flow and Hatha Yoga with YogaWorks in the beautiful setting of Bali and have gone to take many additional trainings with world renowned teachers on many aspects of yoga and anatomy. I trained to teach the fun and liberating Aerial Yoga with the Chakra Aerial Yoga school in Carlisle back in 2012. I love to teach a flowing, challenging class with focus on breathing and alignment which is suitable for everyone.

“I love seeing people who come to her
classes gradually de-stress and find balance”

Originally qualifying as a personal trainer in 2003 through Premier International I started practicing Yoga soon after. My career has taken me to many varied places including teaching for almost 3 years in the Middle East. First drawn to Yoga to compliment the other forms of exercise I was teaching I soon fell in love with Yoga and decided I wanted it to become my main focus.

I love seeing people who come to my classes gradually de-stress and find balance not only in their bodies but also in their lives. Taking the calm time spent on the mat with them to create a calm approach to work and life in general.

Leanne Jeffes

I attended my first yoga class in 2014, initially out of curiosity, but, after leaving the class in a deeply relaxed state, felt I was on to something, and began practicing regularly.

  • Encourages self-exploration
  • Fine tunes awareness
  • Connects to truth

“I actively encourage self-exploration and
self-expression through intuitive movement”

Fast forward a few years of consistent practice, and I enrolled in a 10-month 200-hour Yoga Teaching Training course with CAMYOGA, which I completed in the summer of 2019. In early 2020, I went on to study Advanced Assists and Touch Methodology (50hr) with Sunday School Yoga and am currently participating in Liberate, a 6-month mentorship programme with Naomi Absalom.

Whether I’m teaching a flow class, or a gentler practice, my focus is on empowering each student to fully inhabit their experience, be present with their bodies and anything else that may arise on the mat. I actively encourage self-exploration and self-expression through intuitive movement, to make each practice unique to the practitioner, fine tune our awareness and, ultimately, connect to Truth. Expect a breath centred and creative practice, accompanied by some funky, and soothing, beats.

“I was mesmerized at the positive rewards I
gained physically, emotionally and spiritually”

I then joined the fast pace and ever growing fitness industry and have been teaching for over 20 years.

I started practicing yoga and was mesmerized at the positive rewards I gained physically, emotionally and spiritually, so went on to teach yoga after RYS200 training at Hot Zen Yoga Studios.

My experience teaching in fitness has certainly had an influence on my yoga teaching style.
I am always amazed at how I have learnt to accept savasana!

Aisling Rasekh

Yoga has been a part of my life for over a decade now and as with many people, I started to practice yoga when I was at a crossroads in my life.

  • Encourages self-exploration
  • Fine tunes awareness
  • Connects to truth

“By practising yoga it gave me a safe space in
which I could leave any stresses at the door.”

By focusing on my mind and body, it allowed me to relax whilst also contributing to maintain a healthy lifestyle and keeping fit.I was privileged to immerse myself in my training on the beautiful tropical island of Koh Phangnan in Thailand, famed for its yoga and healing centres. It gave me a life experience like no other. I stayed on the island for sometime and enjoyed teaching there looking out over the ocean or across the mountains from the yoga shala. Bringing this experience home with me I now teach Vinyasa, Power Flow, Hatha and Yin.

My style can vary depending on the energy of the class, I like to see how people are feeling and create a sanctuary where you will have the best practice on your mat. I am also a Reiki Practitioner and believe that Prana (energy) needs to flow deeply and freely through our bodies, removing any blocks so that we can relieve stress, increase immunity and enhance our general wellbeing. With that in mind I like to create a practice which allows any blocks to open gently and bring you an overall sense of full body, mind and soul recharge after every class.

See you on the mat!

I teach a Vinyasa Flow style, suitable for all levels and ages, based in Hatha and influenced by Astanga.

  • I aim to challenge and motivate you
  • Informal and relaxed style
  • Creating self-awareness and self-confidence
I also teach Yin, Restorative and Nidra. I have an informal and relaxed style, encouraging a sense of fun. I aim to challenge and motivate you, help you find focus and grace, and shift your mind from your daily routine and re-set your body.
My approach to Yoga is to guide people through breath-led movement creating a self-awareness and self-confidence. When people feel confident, they are more inclined to have a healthier approach to their lives and themselves. I hope my class gives people self-confidence, some strength (physically and / or mentally), a moment of stillness to have some personal time and refreshed energy.

My experience and training so far:
I have been practicing Yoga since the 1990’s and have been teaching since 2011. I trained for 2.5 years with The British Wheel of Yoga, receiving a teaching Diploma in 2012.
I started practising yoga in my 20’s as a way to compliment my running and my acting / dance career. It also helped me to relax which was a challenge as a young actress. I then fell in love with Yoga and eventually was brave enough to train with the British Wheel of Yoga. I love to teach, and it is so great to see people grow and learn…and I’m still learning.

David Litchfield

I started yoga to compliment my martial arts training at the suggestion of my Sensei.

  • Challenging postures

“Yoga was also my introduction to the art of
hand balancing, which i am a keen practitioner of!”

I am a Black Belt and qualified instructor in contact karate and kickboxing. Yoga has been a hugely beneficial part of my training and preparation, both physical and mental, for the many gradings and competitions that i used to do. Yoga was also my introduction to the art of hand balancing, which I am a keen practitioner of!

I qualified as a Yoga teacher in 2019 after studying in Rishikesh, India. I teach an Ashtanga Vinyasa class here at Tring Yoga Studio loosely structured around the Ashtanga Primary Series but influenced by others styles of yoga which i practice.

My aim is to help students progress in their asana practice. To help develop their strength and flexibility. My class offers a chance to work towards some of the more challenging postures in a playful and supportive environment.

  • Qualified as a Level 3 yoga teacher in 2012
  • Secret indulgence – fondness for cake!

Kim has a very clear mantra ‘breathe & enjoy which comes from a complete understanding that every student is on their own journey and brings their mat into class for a reason.

At the core of Kim’s teaching philosophy is the desire to ensure that every student understands and feels how their body moves within posture/asana and/or through meditation. Her expertise and knowledge of Yoga combined with her desire to empower everyone to achieve their best practice is extraordinary.

Kim has always been involved in health, wellbeing and fitness, initially qualifying as a Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer in 2002. She continued her learning and qualified as a Level 3 yoga teacher, through the Yoga Alliance & British Wheel of Yoga, in 2012.

Kim’s areas of expertise include; Hatha Flow, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Guided Meditationfor both groups and private sessions. Kim has also successfully led and supported workshops and retreats within the UK and Internationally.

The proud mum of three boys, who are the greatest achievement in her life. She is also very grateful of her time working as a volunteer supporting various street children charities, which included projects in Calcutta, Nairobi, Rio, Romania and Bulgaria.

With everything that life throws at you, Kim’s secret indulgence is her fondness for cake. She is a keen baker, who loves the science of bringing a range of ingredients together to make something scrumptious. Which is very reminiscent one of her yoga practices….delicious!
